Dear beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,
Today, I stand before you with a message that resonates deeply within the scriptures, a message that beckons us to reevaluate the authenticity of our relationship with the Almighty. The essence of our connection with the Lord is not merely in the utterance of His name but in the profound deeds that emanate from a genuine, obedient heart.
In Luke 6:46, the Lord posed a question that echoes through the corridors of time, asking, “Why do you call me Lord but you don’t do what I say?” These words pierce the very core of our being, compelling us to introspect and assess the sincerity of our devotion.
It is crucial to recognize that our actions, our deeds, are the veils that prevent God from truly knowing us. We must not run from Him, for He is not elusive, but rather, it is our choices that create distance. Do we truly fear God? Could it be that our actions stand as a barrier between ourselves and the Almighty?
The scripture in 1 Corinthians 8:3 sheds light on the nature of our relationship with the Creator. We often bring our problems to Him, but do we love him genuinely? God discerns those who love Him, and it is through this genuine love that we bridge the gap between us and God our Father.
Who is a man or woman of God?
What defines a man or woman of God is not the title we carry or the eloquence of our words but the authenticity of our faith and obedience. Let us not be deceived; “The message is far greater than the messenger”. God can utilize anyone who submits to His will, regardless of their background or perceived shortcomings. Let us not run from the Almighty, for we create the distance.
In conclusion, let us embark on a journey of true discipleship. Let us present ourselves before the Lord, offering not just our problems but our hearts, minds, and actions. God desires our entire being, not just the parts we selectively offer. God desires our genuine love, obedience, and service. As we faithfully seek Him, we are promised surprises beyond our imagination. May the Lord bless each and every one of you as you heed this divine call. Amen.
